Young Royals is a Swedish teen drama web series set in the fictional prestigious Hillerska boarding school. The story follows Prince Wilhelm of Sweden (Edvin Ryding) and his burgeoning gay romance with his schoolmate Simon Eriksson (Omar Rudberg), and the turmoil that follows. Lisa Ambjörn, Lars Beckung, and Camilla Holter created the six-episode series, which was released on Netflix on July 1, 2021. On September 22, 2021, it was announced that a second season would be released in 2022.
Additionally, on May 11, the streaming service’s official Twitter account announced that filming for the second set of episodes had been completed, along with Instagram Story screenshots of stars Edvin Ryding and Omar Rudberg.
